The Harmonic SoundBoard (HSB) is an invention designed to bring an unprecedented degree of tonality enhancement to a number of types of acoustic
instruments. It consists of a base that holds a number of resonating bodies/structures and is itself a resonator with specific target characteristics. The HSB is capable of a greater range of tonal
enhancements, due to its multiplicity of tuneable and fixed resonant parts, than any previous method (bows, strings, and other various replaceable parts). Emphasize the middle of your tone; emphasize the top or
bottom of your tone...you choose. A simple variation of the combination of resonators that are tightened or loosened will cause a significant sonic change. While changing individual HSB resonators is very easy, in
many cases it will not be necessary to exchange resonators, but when you want big sonic changes for different styles of music or ensemble size, you have this important option. The adaptable nature of the HSB will
provide a non-invasive tonality-varying technique that will be of great advantage for those musicians who own collectable instruments, and also take less time to accomplish than traditional invasive methods. |
