| The Reference Model 85 is a dynamic sounding eight outlet conditioner with two enhanced digital filters. It is well suited for the audiophile who has 2-3 digital components. A separate filter for each digital component is recommended. When used with two digital components, the Model 85's dual digital filters will prevent crosstalk (through the power cords of digital components plugged into the same duplex) from occurring. If your digital needs grow, clean line juniors can be added to increase the available number of outlets with enhanced digital filters. Three-stage surge protection is accomplished through use of both Metal-Oxide Varistors (MOV) and gas surge-arresters. The rear panel IEC connector allows use of either the custom VansEvers power cord or any other 15 amp cable. Two Transient- Impedance switches allows for subtle yet significant sonic changes. In addition, the aesthetics are refined. A black- anodized brushed-aluminum faceplate is set off by the front-panel blue LED. New for 2003, we have improved the common-mode noise rejection for all outlets, analog and digital/video. |
